Hard Act To Follow...
As mentioned in a previous post, Ryan Hardy is next level. I and a handful of others were on hand to witness Ryan paddle into waves at "The Right" that previously were thought to only be surfable with the aid of a jetski. The amazing thing was not only that he was able to conquer these waves with a set of fins and leg power, but it was the fact that he paddled through 8-10ft beachbreaks to an outer reef break he'd never surfed before in the pitch black. Check out the full story and more images in the newly released issue 4 of Le Boogie, available online at www.leboogie.com.

Adam Luehman...
... sure does know how to have a crack. The last few months I have witnessed him push himself further than most would bother to go. He's a great bloke and I've got a lot of time for his surfing, fishing and tales of his night time antics. Below are some images from the last few months, but be warned I have some better ones up my sleeve!

Hardy/Void...
Void Wetsuits loved this shot so much, they used it as an ad in Riptide #176. The reason I love the shot, is that on this day, up until this point, I was so worried about stuffing up photos of some of the most intense surfing I have ever seen, that I was stressed beyond belief. But this simple gesture from Ryan as he paddle back out over the shoulder reminded me why we go on trips like this. Sure you have to get the job done, but if you're not enjoying yourself, it's not worth doing. Turns out this was my most successful shoot, EVER!

Reeflex/Riptide...
Below is the latest Reeflex Wetsuit ad that you will see in Riptide Issue #176. Getting up at 4 am for a shoot is never easy, but trying something different is always fun! Chad, Lewy, George, and Jarker all pitched in to get the job done, leaving design whizz Shannon to piece it altogether. Hughesy helped out on the flash and managed to "photo bomb" the odd shot!! Thanks fellas!

Crazy Johns...
... has to be the most beautifully dangerous wave I have ever seen. It lures you in with it's crystal clear waters and promise of the ride of your life, then before you know it, you're wondering if paddling for this wave was such a good idea after all. If you could only imagine what's running through Nick Perry's head in the shot below! Head to www.riptidemag.com.au to check out more!
